Luke McManus

Luke McManus is a documentary filmmaker who has lived in Grangegorman for more than twenty years.

Luke has directed documentary films for Netflix, NBC, RTE, TV3, TG4 and Channel 4, winning a number of awards including four Irish Film & Television Awards, the FIPADOC Grand Prix, the Salem Film Festival American Cinematographer Award, a Celtic Media Award and the Radharc Award on the way. He has also produced and directed drama for TG4 and Channel 4, commercials and audio documentaries.

His big screen credits include the acclaimed feature documentaries North Circular (as director) and The Lonely Battle Of Thomas Reid (as producer).

Luke has been active in his community in a number of roles. Along with his membership of the GDA to which he was elected for two terms in a row he was previously the Chair of the Rathdown Road and District Residents Association, a member of the advisory board of Stoneybatter arts centre The Joinery,  an active member of the Stoneybatter Pride of Place committee who conceived and produce the annual Stoneybatter Festival and an activist and campaigner on issues like active travel and public safety in the Dublin 7 community.
