Phoenix Care Centre
Overview
Located at the North Circular entrance of the Grangegorman Campus, the Phoenix Care Centre is a state-of-the-art, 54-bed mental health facility developed for the HSE. As part of the Grangegorman Masterplan, it marks a significant step forward in compassionate mental healthcare in Ireland.
The center is thoughtfully designed around two landscaped courtyards, with accommodation across three levels: an Intensive Care Unit on the ground floor, Continuing Care on the first, and a Respite/Rehab Unit on the second. The building's layout—featuring single, two, and three-storey blocks—maximizes natural light and access to outdoor spaces, ensuring a therapeutic environment for all patient groups.
Reflecting the transition from the historic St. Brendan’s Hospital to a modern, integrated healthcare and education campus, the Phoenix Care Centre sets a new benchmark for mental health services in Ireland.
