Academic Hub and Library
Overview
Academic Hub and Library is the centrepiece of the Grangegorman campus, offering a fully integrated library alongside a range of academic and student support services. Located next to the Central Quad, this innovative space houses TU Dublin’s extensive library collections and provides flexible, future-ready learning environments designed to foster student success.
Blending history with modern design, the building incorporates the restored North House—originally built between 1848 and 1854 as part of the Richmond Lunatic Asylum and later serving St Brendan’s Hospital. Now reimagined, the North House will form a vital part of this dynamic new hub for learning and collaboration.
Current Status
The Academic Hub building is nearing the substantial completion stage with the next steps being the handover of the building to TU Dublin.
