GDA Vibrant Community Fund 2026 Now Open
The Grangegorman Development Agency (GDA) is pleased to announce the launch of the Vibrant Community Fund 2026, supporting community-led projects, events and initiatives that help build a vibrant, inclusive and connected Grangegorman neighbourhood.
Since 2014, the Vibrant Community Fund has supported local groups to bring people together, strengthen community connections and create positive shared experiences across the area.
What Funding Is Available?
A total fund of €10,000 is available in 2026, awarded across two funding streams:
Stream 1 – Large-Scale Activities

Two grants of €2,500
-
For larger community festivals, events or activities
Stream 2 – Small-Scale Initiatives

Five grants of €1,000
-
For smaller projects, activities, events or initiatives
All funded activities must be free to participants and completed within the 2026 calendar year.
Who Can Apply?
Applications are welcome from community groups and organisations based in the Grangegorman area who are working to:

Bring people together

Promote cultural diversity and heritage

Support learning experiences

Encourage climate action
-
Enhance local community life
Funding cannot be used for political activities, organisational overheads, or personal expenses.

Selection Process
Applications will be assessed by a Vibrant Community Fund Working Group, which may include GDA personnel and an external assessor. Applications are scored based on:

Quality of proposal

Community reach and impact
-
Feasibility and delivery plan
Successful applicants must meet a minimum scoring threshold. The decision of the Working Group is final.
