Works are due to take place at the junction of Rathdown Road and Grangegorman Upper this week. The works are to facilitate safe access to and from the new Dublin 7 Educate Together National School on the Grangegorman site in advance of its opening next month. Dublin City Council are carrying out the works.
The planned works are temporary measures until the permanent layout can be constructed later in the year. The temporary works consist of installing barriers to remove the slip road north onto Grangegorman Upper and the parking on either side of the T-junction. These planned changes received planning permission in 2018 following public constulation. The final layout will be a new public space for the area.
