The Site Infrastructure and Public Realm (SIPR) Project has won the award for Excellence in Construction Project Management at the annual International Construction Project Management Association (ICPMA) awards in Madrid. The awards ceremony, which took place on Tuesday, 2nd June was attended by representatives from the GDA, O’Connor Sutton Cronin (OCSC) and Roadbridge, who are the site engineers and main contractor for the SIPR Project respectively.

This award was given based on the ICPMA’s Seven Principles which found the SIPR Project to be outstanding in mutual cooperation and mutual respect in Construction Project Management. These Seven Principles can be found on the ICPMA website here.

The SIPR Project, which started on site in December 2013, has installed the infrastructure for the entirety of the 73 acre Grangegorman site and delivered key components, including district heating and site-wide WIFI, for future construction work on site. SIPR has also developed the first phase Public Realm for Grangegorman, providing high-quality paving and lighting, new sports pitches, a children’s playground and a cultural garden commemorating the history of the site.
