The Grangegorman Development Agency is delighted to announce that last night Dublin City Council elected members voted to adopt the Planning Scheme for the Grangegorman Site.
This is another fantastic milestone for the project and brings over 4,500 construction jobs alone one step closer. It comes in the wake of a contractor being appointed to build the Mental Health Replacement Facility recently.
Once the Mental Health Replacement Facility is complete in 2012 this will open up the site to allow construction on the new DIT campus, sports and recreational facilities, public library, primary school and parkland space for the community.
The adopted Planning Scheme with amendments agreed by members will be available for inspection in DCC from 3rd August. Also from today for the next four weeks anyone who made a submission on the scheme will be entitled to appeal the Council decision to An Bord Pleanala.
The Agency would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has had any involvement in the project up to this point and we cannot wait to reach the next big milestone. In the meantime there is a lot more to do.
