The jury citation on the building said “A difficult, restrictive brief requiring the generation of a separated but believable interior world while responding to the gritty reality of the site is resolved in a satisfyingly viable form. The internal shared spaces are refreshingly relaxed and non-institutional and the strong combination of stock brick and robust forming of opes seems to match its setting.”
