The new Sports Centre will provide recreation opportunities for students and the local community as well as providing educational space for leisure-related programmes in TU Dublin. The two-level building will be located in a high profile space between the sports fields and the Academic Hub of the TU Dublin Campus. The nearest entrance will be the Prussia St Gate but it will be easily accessed from all areas of the college as the main paths through the college, St Brendan’s Way and the Serpentine pass right by it.

Size
The overall facility will be circa 14,000 M2 to be built in Phases. Phase 1 will be dry sports circa 6,600 M2 and Phase 2 will be wet sports including swimming pool. Phase 3 includes external changing facilities.
Current Use
Plot 28 is newly landscaped area serving Lower House and East Quad.
Plot 13 is directly adjacent to Clock Tower and Chapel which are protected structures.
