Adaptive Reuse Project Wins Award

GDA_Award_2016 Building & Design Awards-70

Last week the Grangegorman Adaptive Reuse project won the award for “Retrofitting Project of the Year” at the Irish Building and Design Awards 2016. The project, which coincided with the Site Infrastructure and Public Realm project on site, adapted six protected structures from their former hospital use into new educational facilities for DIT. The completion of the Adaptive Reuse project saw the first 1,000 DIT students relocate to Grangegorman. Accepting the award on the night were GDA team members James Rooney, Paul Kelly, Una Sugrue and GDA Chief Executive Michael Hand.
